Drying times vary widely. Furnace fans and ceiling fans reduce drying times. In general, berber carpets take longer to try. You can walk on the carpet immediately; barefoot or indoor footware is preferred.

CAUTION! Portable machines leave more dirt and water in the carpet. This causes oversoaking, longer drying times, and a need for more frequent cleaning. Home-style and rental units produce the same poor results.
